And and they're amplifying, you know, certain people and they're giving better advantages to other people, but

These are machines that run themselves.

I think the majority of leftists know that they're being controlled.

They're falling in the favor of Feds.

That's part that's half of the game.

It's like conformity to power.

It's like imagine you're in a room and there's a lunatic with a gun.

And everyone's terrified of this person, and they have all the power.

It's one person, they can get overpowered by fifty people.

In a way

It's not that the fifty and the guy, he plays divide and conquer with people.

He goes, I'm going to divide you.

Now, is it all just his manipulation?

No, ninety five percent of it is these fifty people themselves being cowards.

And they're making excuses for their cowardice, and they're channeling that tension in terms of aggression against other people, right?

They know what they're doing.

It's not that people are being played for fools.

Internally, psychologically, they can't handle that pressure and that confrontation.

The infighting has a lot of factors.

But they see communism as a way to complain at authority, complaining, right?

The authority will not listen to your complaints.

Who's going to listen to your complaints is people who share some of your principles.

So when you can tear down and destroy people successfully, because they're actually listening to you, right?

And they're paying attention to you and they care about what you think.

And you succeed in destroying them.

You feel as though you're powerful and you have a victory.

In reality, you're just tearing down the only people who will listen to you to compensate for the fact that your complaints are mainly channeled at the government who will never care about you or listen to you, right?

Uh, people to cope with their ineffectiveness, their original position is we want to go against the government, right?

Okay, you have okay, so you have a job, you're not doing your job good, so what do they do?

Well, I might be yeah, because that way I feel like it's going somewhere.

At least I'm tearing some people down, that means I have some power, and I have the hope that maybe I could eventually challenge the government.

But the logic is all wrong because they're beginning from a perspective that assumes that complaining and effective revolutionary practices are the same thing, they're not.

Their existential position of complaining and whining is the problem.

Stop complaining and whining at the government, they don't care about you.

So, start locking in and building because the world does not care about your whining and your complaining.

Get over that, get over the fact that nobody cares about how much you consider everything to be so unjust, no one cares.

You need to lock in and focus on what needs to be done and be at peace with that and not have a hang-up over.

And it was something about how actually in a steady state economy you could have full central planning without any prices whatsoever.

And then the Mycenaeans obviously responded: Well, there's no such thing as a steady state economy, but I actually think the steady state response is the most convincing one because, provided you could lock down.

The variables, you could also account for change as well, right?

You just have to kind of like lock this, you have to have a systemic logic established first that presumes it's a steady state.

And then on that basis, you can account for transformation or change.

And then, of course, the most comprehensive refutation that I know of from a Marxist comes from Paul Cockshot.

And it's his book Towards a New Socialism.

I think that's what it's called.

I think it was written in the 90s.

And it talked about how supercomputers were a game changer.

Regarding all this, I don't I don't think the calculation problem was ever the main problem though, ever in any socialist economy.

Um if there was a calculation problem, I think that was very marginal actually.

The the thing that was important beyond the inefficiencies of central planning, which I think were the most marginal problem of the central planning,

Lack of access to intensive capital, like the global market.

The world market is the entire culmination of humanity, right?

When you're one nation and you don't have access to billions of people sharing their brain and developing in unison, when people say it's ironic, oh, it's the world market, that means it's about markets.

No, it's about global supply chains.

There's a clear system where you get raw materials and resources here.

You have research institutions there.

You put everything together in this way.

It's like.

That's the most powerful driver of human progress.

So when you're one country or even a uh twenty five percent of the world, which was the peak of communist communism in the world, but then the Sino-Soviet split divided that down the middle, basically.

Um

You cannot keep up with that at all.

There's no way to, right?

I I don't I don't think it's actually um the the calculation problem, it's been a pro kind of logical problem, problem of logic, mental logic problem.

In practice, socialist planning doesn't produce

There are systemic inefficiencies in socialist planning, but they are not the norm.

I mean, people still are things that need to be produced are still getting produced.

The reason they're not getting produced at the scale and at the intensity comparable to the capitalist world isn't because of a calculation problem, it's mainly because of a lack of access to the entire global supply chains that produce modern economies.

Like, per se, the USSR obviously is massive.

The allocation of resources there, would you say, is obviously less consistent than in a smaller nation?

So would you say that in a larger nation, the economic calculation problem is more or less applicable, or just not changed at all?

Well, scale is going to increase systemic glitches, so to speak.

But there's a reason why the USSR will not have didn't have the same problems Cuba right now has.

When you're a big country, you have a great advantage as far as socialist construction is concerned.

Still not enough, though.

I mean, for example, take agriculture.

The U.S.

outperformed the Soviet Union in agriculture significantly.

But if we look at, I think it was like the 60s or the 70s.

Per unit of machinery, per unit of intensive capital, right?

Like per tractor, for example.

The Soviets were more productive than the US.

It's just that they had less.

The Americans had, I think, seventy tractors per acre versus sorry, one tractor per sev per seventy acres and the Soviets had one tractor per like four hundred fifty, right?

And

You know

Per capital-intensive machinery, the Soviets were better and more productive.

They just had less machines, they had less tractors.

um is that um a result of maybe that it's it's um focused or or in uh more large capacities or that it's spread out consistently throughout the entire country no it's it's not it's because the soviets had no access to the global supply chains that made american productivity possible the americans got their rubber i think from the caribbean at some point They got their raw natural resources.

They had the whole world market at their disposal, right?

The Soviets drew from a comparatively less diverse

and less expansive in scale.

They had less access to resources, basically.
